Questing — Terms of Use

Effective 1 September 2026 · Last updated 8 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Vision Communications Group ("we", "us"), the operator of Questing. By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Questing.

1. What Questing is

Questing is a screen-time companion. You set a daily budget, choose apps to shield, and earn minutes back by completing activities your phone can verify — steps, workouts, mindful minutes, and time spent away from the phone.

It is not a medical device, a treatment, or a diagnostic tool, and nothing in it is medical or psychological advice. If you are worried about your relationship with your phone, or about anyone's wellbeing, please speak to a qualified professional.

2. Your account

You may sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining access to that account and for activity that happens under it. You must be at least 13, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or using Questing under a parent's or guardian's supervision through Apple Family Sharing.

3. Minutes

Minutes are a feature of the app, not money. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, cannot be transferred between accounts, and expire under the rules described in the app.

Minutes are granted by our servers. Rates, daily caps and allowances are set by us and may change; the current rules are always shown in the app. We may withhold or reverse minutes obtained by tampering with the app, falsifying activity data, or otherwise circumventing how Questing is meant to work.

4. Questing Plus and purchases

Questing Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple. The current price and period are shown in the app before you buy.

Top-ups are one-time purchases of minutes. They are consumed when granted, confer no ongoing entitlement, and are subject to the daily limit shown in the app.

All purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's own terms. Refunds are Apple's to give and we cannot issue them; request one through Apple.

5. What the app can and cannot do to your phone

Questing uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to shield apps you have chosen. This depends on permissions you grant and on iOS behaving as documented.

We cannot guarantee that any app will always be blocked. iOS may end a shield, a system update may change how shielding works, permissions can be revoked, and the app can be deleted. Questing is a tool to help you keep a commitment you have made to yourself. It is not an enforcement mechanism and you must not rely on it as one — including for supervising anyone else.

Questing will never change another person's settings, budget or shields. Squads are visibility and accountability only.

6. Acceptable use

We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that break these rules.

7. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Questing on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. We keep all other rights, including all intellectual property in the app, its artwork and its characters.

8. Apple

This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Questing or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may stop offering the service. We will give reasonable notice in the app where we can. If we discontinue the service during a subscription period you have paid for, you may seek a refund from Apple.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Questing after that is acceptance.

10. Disclaimer and liability

Questing is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or loss arising from an app not being shielded when you expected it to be. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for your statutory rights as a consumer, which are unaffected.

11. Ending this agreement

You may stop using Questing and delete your account at any time, from Me › Delete account in the app — it takes effect immediately and needs nothing from us. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is deleted, and note that deleting your account does not cancel a Questing Plus subscription: Apple bills that, and it is cancelled in your Apple Account's subscription settings. We may end this agreement if you materially breach these terms. Sections 3, 7, 8, 10 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, and the courts of Rwanda have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections there.

13. Privacy

How Questing handles your data — including how little of it leaves your device — is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
